Two Robbery Suspects Arrested

On Friday, May 30, 2008, at about 7:30 pm, officers of the North Vernon Police Department were called to West O&M Avenue after a report was received of a woman being assaulted by two persons. Officers located and interviewed the caller and the victim. It was reported that the victim was assaulted by more than one suspect and had approximately $175 stolen after she was knocked to the ground and her clothing was ripped and torn by the suspect(s).
About an hour later, officers located the suspects in the area of Long Street and Westwood Drive. Anna M Hillard, 25, and Kevin D Lovegrove, 36, both of North Vernon were identified as suspects in the robbery. They were Arrested and taken to the Jennings County Jail. Both suspects had money on them that was then seized. Two other persons were identified; however they were cleared of having an active role in the robbery.
Charges are as follows:
Anna M Hillard: Robbery (B felony), Possession of Stolen Property (D felony), Battery (A misdemeanor), and Battery (B misdemeanor); bond listed at $7550 cash.
Kevin D Lovegrove: Conspiracy to Commit Robbery (B felony) and Possession of Stolen Property (D felony); bond listed at $7550 cash.
