Investigation Leads to 3 Arrests

On Saturday, July 28th, 2007, officers of the North Vernon Police Department served a search warrant at an address in Cumberworth Trailer Court which belonged to Robert E. Palmer, 42, of Butlerville.

The warrant was obtained following an investigation by North Vernon Police Department Drug Team members. This investigation led officers to the home of Mr. Palmer in Bulterville.

Officers of the North Vernon Police Emergency Response Team went to the home to serve the warrant. The warrant was served without incident and the following persons were arrested:

    Robert E. Palmer, age 42
    Cindy K. Palmer, age 45
    Robert E. Palmer II, age 21

All 3 arrested persons were charged with the following:

    1.   Possession of a Controlled Substance - C Felony
    2 .   Possession of a Legend Drug - D Felony
    3.   Maintaining a Common Nuisance - D Felony
    4.   Possession of Paraphernalia - A Misdemeanor
    5.   Possession of Marijuana - A Misdemeanor

Both Cindy K. Palmer and Robert E. Palmer II are currently on Probation though Jennings County for prior drug arrests.

Officers were able to locate and seize controlled substances, marijuana, cash, drug paraphernalia, scales, legend drugs, and drug ledgers during the search.

All 3 arrested persons were transported to and incarcerated at the Jennings County Jail.

The North Vernon Police Department was assisted by the Jennings County Sheriff's Department during the service of the warrant.
