On Thursday, August 6, 2006 officers of the North Vernon Police Department took a domestic violence report concerning Bradley Craddock and his wife, Ana Vargas Craddock. During the investigation it was revealed that Mr. Craddock's Mother, Wilma, who also lived in the residence, was being subjected to abuse as well. Officers assisted Adult Protective Services in the removal of the elder Mrs. Craddock from the residence and a subsequent physical examination showed signs that are consistent with abuse.

Also located in the house was photographic evidence of abusive treatment of Mrs. Craddock as well as an audio tape of abusive treatment of Mrs. Craddock and Mrs. Vargas Craddock. After the discovery of this evidence, Bradley Craddock was arrested on preliminary charges of Aggravated Battery, Neglect of an Adult Dependent, and Criminal Confinement. Mr. Craddock is currently being held in the Jennings County jail on $75,000 bond.

On August 14, officers of the North Vernon Police Department executed a search warrant at the Craddock residence to search for further evidence in this case. Several items of evidentiary value were recovered. The warrant was issued by Honorable Circuit Court Judge Jon Webster.

Officers involved in this investigation are Lt. James Webster, Det. Brian Taylor, Det. Ivory Sandefur, Det. Randall Marshall, Ofc. Todd Fleetwood, Ofc. Randel Miller, Ofc. Craig Kipper and John and Brenda Deffler of Adult Protective Services.
