The goal of Senior Patrol is simply to assist Senior Citizens. This may take place at a nursing home, senior center, hospital, home, at the grocery or other place of business.

Whatever help is needed, we will do our best to ensure that the senior citizens of North Vernon find friends within the police department.

When a Senior Patrol Officer is not busy serving the Senior Citizens one on one, he or she may be attending to additional duties such as delivering paperwork to the prosecutor's office, the 911 Dispatch Center, or the Health Department.

The Senior Patrol Officer assists with the Senior Citizens Coordination Council, Adult Protective Services and other senior citizen related agencies.
